Clinker & Cement

Is a result of a chemical reaction of limestone, clay and other additive materials under extreme heat treatment in a kiln which mostly consists of Calcium silicates and Aluminates. To produce Grey clinker, raw materials such as Iron oxides, clay and … are usually combined with limestone. In the manufacture of Portland Cement, clinker occurs as lumps or nodules, usually 3 millimeters (0.12 in) to 25 millimeters (0.98 in) in diameter, produced by sintering (fused together without melting to the point of liquefaction) limestone  and alum inosilicate materials such as clay during the cement kiln stage.

White Portland Clinker or white ordinary Portland Clinker  is similar to ordinary, gray Portland cement in all aspects except for its high degree of whiteness. Obtaining this color requires substantial modification to the method of manufacture, and because of this, it is somewhat more expensive than the gray product.

This is a standard cement most commonly used when the special properties specified for any other type are not required. Ordinary Portland Cement is used for general construction, and cement can be used for making concrete that will not be in contact with soil or ground water.

Sulfate Resisting Cement is used for construction in areas where alkali soil and groundwater contain high amounts of sulfate. SRC is more resistant than ordinary Portland cement to the action of mineralized water containing sulphates; it also has lower heat of hydration and slower hardening.

Oil-well cements are used for cementing work in the drilling of oil wells where they are subject to high temperatures and pressures. Oilwell cement has an excellent retarder response which can be translated into cost savings in your mix design.

For use in buildings where the use of high-strength concrete with no color are required.White Portland cement is made of special materials which contains very little iron, and manganese.
